Auto Accident Claims
Our attorneys recently represented a family whose lives were devastated by a driver that carelessly ran a red light. In that case, Braz Law obtained MORE than the policy limits of one million dollars by obtaining an additional contribution from the negligent driver. In a recent construction defect and insurance dispute, Attorney Brazelton obtained a summary judgment against a general contractor for failing to comply with Florida’s Construction Lien Law. Simultaneously, Attorney Brazelton negotiated a lost profits claim of more than $400,000.00 for the client’s Airbnb business. This case represents the strategic handling of contested claims, coverage disagreements, and negotiations with insurers when fair treatment is at stake.
Construction Matters and General Litigation
In 2010, Attorney Brazelton was lead counsel in a week-long construction and claim of lien bench trial. The dispute centered around the interpretation of Florida’s Construction Lien Law and whether a rental equipment company could rightfully lien for the time equipment was on-site and available for use. Attorney Brazelton obtained a final judgment in favor of his client wherein the Court awarded 100% of principal and interest claimed. That case exemplifies the firm’s litigation approach for complex disputes requiring investigation, motion practice, negotiation, and courtroom readiness.
